Game Design UX Best Practices

The article summarizes all main characters of different games which is super helpful for a code beginner like me. I like the detailed breakdown of best practices for UI positions, sliders, and pop-ups in mobile games. Though these games are a little old-style, the main function stays the same with modern games, such as the close button and play button which are really easy to identify. Plus, games always have many pop-up windows that give main missions for players.

I found this graph, showing comfort-to-reach area and hard-to-reach area, really helpful in future design. It visually analyzed how users, mostly right-hand users, feel comfortable with different areas of a screen. As a designer, we should consider users’ habits.
